Re: Toil and succour
A me'nage-a'-trois takes three,
of another there is this paucity,
futile to ask thus who else,
one loves besides oneself,
for, I do not even love Me you see.
The Q on my mind essaying
is, 'why is no one else playing?'

Re: Toil and succour
why is no one else playing?
why is there dust in my head?
what is it that I'm saying?
what is it that you just said?
where is the one who will lead?
where shall we bury the dead?
how many lines do you need?
why is there dust in my head?

Re: Toil and succour
Why is there dust in my head?
Why do I languish in bed?
Bored and alone
I puff on a bone
and wonder
"Is it zero or zed?".
The question:Is it zero or zed?
Why do I languish in bed?

I puff on a bone

"Is it zero or zed?".
The question:Is it zero or zed?

Re: Toil and succour
Who cares, really,
whether ' 'tis nobler in mind
to face the slings and arrows of
outrageous fortune'?
Be zero, be zed,
a hero well-bred;
the question of greater
pertinence, dear one
is whether he is
any good in bed?!
The question is - are you good in bed?
whether ' 'tis nobler in mind
to face the slings and arrows of
outrageous fortune'?

Re: Toil and succour
are you good in bed?
I thought that it
was understood
I'm always good.
I'm always right,
though I be wrong.
Now, move along.
The question is: Where will you go now?
I thought that it
was understood
I'm always good.
I'm always right,
though I be wrong.
Now, move along.
The question is: Where will you go now?

Re: Toil and succour
Deposed from the throne
where will you go now?
Toil like a commoner,
sweat upon your brow?
Ride the underground
like sardines in a tin?
Can't afford caviar--
The question is: can you live on gin?
where will you go now?
Toil like a commoner,
sweat upon your brow?
Ride the underground
like sardines in a tin?
Can't afford caviar--
The question is: can you live on gin?

Re: Toil and succour
Where will you go now?
When there is just one mission left,
the last before you reach 'Home',
Eo Romam iterum crucifigi,
but the question then was Quo Vadis?
And all roads led to Rome.
When is a poem not a poem?

When is a poem not a poem?

Can you live on gin?
Perhaps not, but I would
- if I could - very gladly,
vivre dans collage
I can live in sin.

When is a poem not a poem?
When is a tree not a tree?
You'll know one when you see one.
If you see one, come get me.
We can climb it together.
We can climb higher than high.
We will jump off and fall fast.
We'll land hard, but we won't die.
The question is: Are you frightened?

Re: Toil and succour
"Are you frightened?"
he heard the sergeant ask.
He thought a moment;
took a pull from the flask.
"No way Sarge"
he replied.
"We're in hell.
We've already died."
"What is hell like"?

Re: Toil and succour
I can say this with gay abandon,
add my two-bit to Percy's ditty,
"Hell is a city much like London—
A populous and a smoky city."
Are you going to London town?

Re: Toil and succour
Are you going to London town?
I'm not going to London town.
I'm not going to Puget Sound.
I'll never go to Miami.
I'll never go to see the sea.
I won't go to Amsterdam.
I like it right where I am.
In my jammies, barefoot too,
comfy, cozy, I'm not blue.
I don't have to run around.
I'm not going to London town.
The question is: Did you get the letter?

Re: Toil and succour
I got the letter, for the first time.
Except it came in a series of letters
With spaces and words on a downward climb.
I think I like the idea of these letters
Hanging onto topic. They toil and succor
Some lines mini war others quiet until they are
No more. When I received the letters, I filled my
Room until I could swim in them, with a snorkel;
Some letters seeped pores and reigned my blood.
For a moment, plural did not exist, in meadow silence null.
Ready for a new beginning amongst other beginnings; bud.
Just discovered the General Discussion Board, hah.
What immaterial things do you miss from childhood?

Let's not be difficult.
Girls just want to have fun.
Let's all sing kumbayah.
We'll show them how it's done.
We'll climb the big willow,
then climb back down again,
roast our weenies in the fire,
and piss in it like men.
The question is: Can you catch a frog?

Re: Toil and succour
In leaps - and creepy slime -
a croak of hide and seek,
eschews a better time,
come cook a ring-a-reek.
Catch a slithery tove going riddit
I would, but would I have to kiss it?
"Would I have to kiss it?"
