More smilies have been added to the board... :smt098 <-- edit - I thought these were thumbs, but now I think differently. Sorry.

That was me, in case you were wondering. But then...

Me, Agnes. You, Agnes. We all Agnes.

Yes, I was wondering.

I was refering to the chicken chasing smily actually.

:smt117

Thought maybe it was your inner chicken trying to escape. heh heh

Agnes, am I

I didn't see that one. So, how come this new board doesn't have a sign-in window that pops up when I go to post when I've forgotten to sign in? Not that I'm complaining. Wonder what will happen if I stick "Agnes" in that little box up there labeled "Username"...

Agnes
(this is as close as I get to scientific experimentation)

Well. It says "Sorry, but this username is already taken." Hmmm.

And here I was wondering how you got your name to appear with the "am I" after it. :smt082

I logged out and in to see what you were talking about and there is a sign on in the middle of the page, which if you want you can click that button to automatically log you in each time that way as long as you are using your computer at home you don't have to think about it. It'll just do it for you each time you come to zPoems. As for the pop-up reminder... no idea. I know. I probably didn't answer your question and told you stuff you knew already but it's the best I can do on my first cup of coffee.

Somehow, in the rebuilding and the excitement, I apparently left guest posting on by accident in this particular part of the forum, which makes it amazing that we haven't been flooded by spam posts (just spam registrations)

And yes, referring to another thread, no that didn't seem very effective. Off to try a few more modifications.

But while I can't spawn a popup reminding you to log in, if I disable guest registration you will find that you can't post unless you're logged, thus reminding you to do so.

The following is a completely irrelevant depiction of a smiley in a sombrero.

I just added another pack of them, mainly for these two:

:spam: :violent:

Some red x's will show up in the smiley window until I get a chance to remove or fix them.

Somebody stop me!

Well this guy's kinda cute.

:thin: <-- this one lost in the shuffle, sorry. - mod

heh heh

But if you need a reason to stop... not everyone will be able to load them all or it will slow/crash their system. Before I upgraded I used to have that problem (on another phpbb site). Besides, that's a lot of little red Xs to have to clean up. And I sooo want to know what they are! You must stop teasing us.

As you can see, things are currently getting worse more rapidly than they are getting better. However, I'm working to restore the smilie collection...

Well, I got it back in some semblance of order, and in the process I learned how to hand-pick a few icons I want out of these huge jumbo sets they pass around on the internets. The one WordSith put up was one that has been taken out of the set and the admin control panel apparently won't let me put it back in manually because of its humungous size.

The "view more Emoticons" link is definitely not for someone with dialup.

Awww, I liked the big monster guy. But I guess he *was* a bit overkill. Thanks for giving us all the new toys to play with. They're addicting, dontcha think?

I'm sort of strongly driven by closure, which is why I'm pushing pretty hard to get this site looking better and everything ticking over right. I'd like to get back to giving my right brain a chance every now and then... you know, creative efforts?

They say code is poetry, but I dunno.
