Re: Quote of the Day
So, have you read her? What do you think of her poetry. I read (most of) the article, but I've never read her poetry. http://www.poets.org/poet.php/prmPID/82 I read these ones. Can't say I like any of 'em. No music in them. No magic. No color. No twists and turns. Barely a death rattle. Those poems...

Red and yellow and pink and green,
purple and orange and blue.
You should wear a rainbow,
wear a rainbow,
wear a rainbow, too.
The question: Where's my pot of gold?

Quote of the Day
"It’s true that Edgar Allan Poe considered the death of a beautiful woman to be “the most poetical topic in the world” but really, it’s not the subject that makes for poetry, it’s the work on language that the subject enables the poet to do." ~~Barry Schwabsky http://hyperallergic.com/8807...

Re: Self-publishing discussion
Dear Agnes, I don't know anything about Word Perfect, and I didn't buy any new software. I did not use their poetry book format. That would probably work best if all the poems in the book were very short. You could even have drawings in soft focus. I wanted my book of poems to look profession...

Re: Self-publishing discussion
I purchased WordPerfect 6 a few months back, so I suppose I could purchase the e-book add-on. I found it http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4740069&cid=catalog20038&segid=6600006&storeKey=us&languageCode=en The downside of the e-book thing would be not having hard c...

You know you want to read it out loud
If you can pronounce correctly every word in this poem....then you will have correctly pronounced every word in this poem. Or something.

Re: Therapy Poetry
I was crazy like that once,
ripped out my heart and held it out,
but you turned and walked away.
Each step punctuated by a drop of blood,
they soon formed a pool at my feet
and swallowed me.

Re: Therapy Poetry
Candy Crush, eighteen sticky levels
past the one when last we spoke,
and this one hated just the same.
Change is such a meaningless word,
something used to fill in the blank
spaces between our meetings.

Re: Therapy Poetry
Nothing I see means anything. We love the lies we tell ourselves and live our lives dancing in shadows with the fear that creates the world. This darkness does not frighten us. What we fear is our light. Nothing I see means anything. http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Ego-Right-Mind-Sees-Error-to-Separat...

Re: Therapy Poetry
There is no time, no place,
no soon, no late,
no forest, no trees,
There is no one to let go,
no one to cling to, no you or me.
There is no path to cross,
no path to follow,
no words to strike out,
no Buddha to kill.
There is nothing to consider.

There is no one to let go,

no words to strike out,

Re: Therapy Poetry
Streaming jism and jazz in the center of the square, the wild-eyed man stands strumming his dick like a little guitar. His goodbye song an accusation to those who pass near: See what you made me do because you won't love me the way that I want you to. No, you'll never love me the way I want you to. ...

I Ellipsis You
I can't sing this song out loud.
It boils my blood and melts my bones.
It's hard to stand tall and proud
while drooling on the microphone.
Title: Bring me another

Re: Therapy Poetry
Nothing matters
except when it does,
and even then
it's just a thought.
Desire makes things,
makes matter, makes
pain and poetry appear.
Look. What do you want?
You can't have both
peace and poetry.
except when it does,
and even then
it's just a thought.
