Re: The question of poems that might offend

A very pertinent discussion which I hope some, even all, of our members respond to and express their views openly about.

Thank you for initiating this thread Riverwriter.

Re: Freewrites

I went 'wow' after a long time when I first read this, then I re-read it and see that it needs a bit of editing. 'Branch' for instance and 'can' in the second line.

This piece has a lot of potential, it would be a pity if you did not work on it.

Re: Scrabble Challenge

I think this has been done by Paul already Olson. I so much wanted to do justice to this one too!

Re: Toil and succour

What's the funniest thing you've seen? Jester in Her Majesty's court, guilty of greasepaint and grime, I've been the joke and loud report of laughter in her pantomime. Performing flea, cartwheeling tricks- emotional clown- from scene to scene, but the funniest of these calisthenics, were in the wat...

Re: Toil and succour

The question is: Who's gonna make my grocery list? Captain's on the deck and the M.V. Grocery was adrift, horizon to the left hand, (there was ballast to shift). Shopping for the mid-day lunch done, and jute-bag o'erfill'd; the melon jostled the lime bunch - around him the others milled. "The ...

Wordsith:- The question is: Who needs a vacation ? Who needs a vacation, when there's work to be done? I have an air cleaner and my place in the sun. Who needs a break when one can lounge at work, relax between meetings and in the field shirk. Who needs to rest? Who? Karmayogi all of us! Work is wo...

You could shun all triglycerides and msg, gulp Omega-3 by the spoonful if you please; my waist subsists on margarine and ghee and bliss is a double mac and cheese. You could go on about fibre and fat, (and how the F.A.S.E.B. speaks of these), I am bald and obese and well that is that, now pass me th...

Dirty fingers,long and lingers
and the cookie jar is so clean,
there is milk on your whiskers
cat, pray where have you been?

There is trouble afoot and mischief afar,
Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?

I hope you will my dear perhaps, While I'll bring up the rear perhaps. Li'l Bo Peep she did maybe, but how, its still unclear perhaps. Long John Silver, he could, after he's quaffed his beer perhaps.
